Two ways into professional nursing
BS Nursing after FSc.
A 4-year degree for FSc Pre-Medical students. You study in class, practise in the skills lab and train in hospital. After the degree, you register with PNMC as a nurse.

Diploma nurse? What this degree changes
14 years becomes 16 years
HEC counts a nursing diploma with midwifery as 14 years of education. With Post RN BSN it counts as 16 years, which many jobs, promotions and master's admissions ask for.
The way to MSN opens
A BSN lets you apply for MSN. At some universities, Post RN BSN holders also get extra merit points in MSN admission.
A better grade abroad
In Saudi Arabia, diploma nurses are usually classed as Nursing Technicians and BSN nurses as Staff Nurses. The class decides your salary and job title.
